Why help Project B.R.E.T.? Because brain tumor disease kills more of America's kids than any other cancer. As a five-time cancer survivor, who has seen hundreds of people battle/die from all types of cancer, I can unequivocally say that nothing is as heartbreaking as witnessing brain cancer destroy a child's life and a family's dreams. My own family hasn't been the same since my son, Bret, died at 15, nearly two decades ago. Tragically, since Bret's passing, tens of thousands of other children have died from brain cancer.
I never imagined that today, 44 years after my first diagnosis, I would still be raising funds to find cancer cures and I find it unacceptable. Despite government funding, researchers still don't have the resources needed to end the threat of brain tumor disease. It has been left up to us as to whether or not to they will rewrite the brain cancer story and save the children. These kids desperately need and deserve more hope!
Project B.R.E.T., (Bringing ReMission, Ending the Threat), the Children's Brain Trust's latest initiative, will focus on raising funds for the recently launched ReMission Alliance, (https://ufhealth.org/news/2018/uf-brain-cancer-investigators-lead-bold-initiative-top-peers-advance-new-treatments), a first-of-its-kind collaborative consortium that brings together world-renowned brain cancer experts for the single purpose of accelerating the advancement of effective brain tumor treatments.
Please help us fight for these kids and donate to the Project B.R.E.T. Fund. You will not find a better use of your monies. 100% of your gift (after Crowdrise fees) will be utilized by the ReMission Alliance to end the threat of brain cancer. Thank you so much for your consideration!
