If it takes a village to raise a child, it takes a local community of heroes to help a veteran get a much-needed service dog. Your donation to Hero Dogs makes you a member of our community of heroes that changes and saves the lives of our veterans.
Hero Dogs "Molly" Pitcher graduated with her veteran on November 5. Of Molly, her veteran said . . . "Molly is here to further push me to live and love life as it was intended. This is a testament alone to her steadfast pursuit of a friendship and justice. Her existence and simple insistence demands that I take care of myself when I might otherwise not."
Today's veterans and first responders often have a unique and complex set of needs. Many have multiple physical injuries, plus traumatic brain injury (TBI), hearing loss, and post-traumatic stress (PTSD). Hero Dogs is dedicated to giving heroes with disabilities a fighting chance to get their lives back. In ways that humans cannot, service dogs mitigate disabling conditions for their partners. Hero Dogs' sole mission is training dogs - as service dogs, therapy dogs, facility dogs, and in-home skilled companion dogs - to act as an invaluable lifeline to the men and women who, in service to our country, are now facing life-altering disabilities - seen and unseen.
Thank you for your donation . . . and for being part of the Hero Dogs family!
