Dear Family and Friends,
As some of you may already know, I have decided to fulfill a lifelong dream of participating in the Boston Marathon this April on behalf of The Hole in the Wall Gang Camp. After raising over $20,000 dollars on behalf of Fred's Team over four consecutive ING NYC Marathons, I hope to continue to support fundraising efforts directed towards children and their families coping with cancer and all other serious illnesses through the programs offered by The Hole in the Wall Gang Camp.
Founded in 1988 by Paul Newman, The Hole in the Wall Gang Camp is dedicated to providing a "different kind of healing" to seriously ill children and their families throughout the Northeast, free of charge. It's a community that celebrates fun, friendship and the spirit of childhood where every kid can "raise a little hell." The goals of the program are simple, to ensure every child with serious medical conditions the chance to experience the world of possibilities that camp has to offer. Through the generosity of others, the Camp provides this unique healing experience to kids in need and their families, including those who may not be able to come to camp.
Whether it is through the summer sessions and family weekend programs at the Camp in Ashford, Connecticut or the the year round outreach to hospitals and clinics, the Camp serves more than 20,000 children and family members annually "celebrating the spirit of childhood, the sound of laughter and the feeling of endless possibility."
Thanks in advance and can't wait until April,
