When a sexually abused child, or an adult victim of domestic or sexucal violence visits Holly's House, we support them through the process of being interviewed for the investigation. Our service model focuses on minimizing secondary trauma through the use of a multi-disciplinary approach. Both the environment and the process for conducting and recording interviews is careful designed to provide victims with a sense of security and empowerment.
Clients also work with our Service Coordinator to identify and get support in connecting with other services, such as safe shelter, counseling, or medical care, that will help to begin the journey of healing.
Holly's House also provides a child abuse prevention program for local elementary school students. The "Think First & Stay Safe" program teaches children how to recognize an unsafe situation, and how to react in order to protect their personal safety and get help from a trusted adult. All Holly's House services are provided at no charge.
Our mission is to "empower victims of intimate crime and abuse by providing support, promoting justice and preventing violence." Thank you for your interest in Holly's House for joining us in the Newman's Own Foundation Challenge.
