Why I'm Running: In 2011 my brother was wounded in two Improvised Explosive Device attacks while serving with 3/9 Marines in Afghanistan. He returned home with a Traumatic Brain Injury, and began the process of living life with the invisible wounds of war. He came out on the other side because of his own strength, his friends, family, and outstanding medical care - including from Home Base.
My strongest hope is that his success can be the reality for everyone living with the invisible wounds of war like Traumatic Brain Injury, Post Traumatic Stress, depression, anxiety, and everything else that might come with returning home from combat.
I’d be humbled to have your help raising funds to support Home Base’s ongoing mission, and to raise as much awareness as posssible!
