1 in 15 children are exposed to intimate partner violence each year, and 90% of these children are eyewitnesses to this violence. 1 in 3 women and 1 in 4 men have been victims of physical violence by an intimate partner within their lifetime. 74% of Americans personally know someone who is or has been abused. So odds are you, the person reading this, know a man, woman, or child who has been abused – physically, emotionally, financially, or verbally. Maybe they were your brother, your mom, a friend, a cousin, a coworker…maybe, even, it was you.
Whoever they may be, Sharon Manor believes every adult and child being abused should have a safe place to call home. Sharon Manor provides safe, affordable housing to men, women, and children survivors of domestic violence. Beyond temporary, emergency shelter, Sharon Manor provides up to 2 years of comprehensive one-on-one case management, group trainings, and a children’s program for families as they work to rebuild their lives.
