Fundación Venezolanos en Cúcuta is a non-profit organization located in La Parada, Colombia next to the Simón de Bolívar international bridge that connects Venezuela with Colombia, it is run by volunteers. We provide a daily meal for Venezuelan refugees who cross the border before beginning their journey by foot to different regions of the continent. We also provide orientation on journeys as well as health supplies and winter clothes, as the temperatures on the way are below 0 degrees. We receive houndreds of Venezuelans a day however due to the lack of financial support we are not able to offer everyone a meal, sometimes we are not able to open our doors, we currently functions thanks to people's food and clothes donations. With just 5 dollars we can provide oats and bread for 5 persons for 1 day, however we are looking forward to expanding our infrastructure to be able to serve more people and higher quality meals, as well as incorporating a kitchen, as we currently cook outside with firewood. Your help will help us in our goal of offering better and more food for more people as well as more medical supplies.
