**OFFICIALLY MOVED CAMPAIGN FROM GOFUND ME**
On October 7th, The Detour 3 crew will be travelling to the Caribbean island of Dominican Republic to film episode seven of the third season.
This comes shortly after both Hurricane Irma and Maria blew through the Caribbean with some of the most powerful & damaging winds in recent history.
You might be thinking why? But also how you can help. The WHY question is easy to answer, The Detour 3 is able to support the Dominican by going to film at Pinewood studios, stimulating the economy through renting gear from local vendors and being present - staying in hotels, eating at restaurants, shopping at markets, and maybe even lending a hand to those who need it.
TBS would like to encourage crew travelling to the to bring medical supplies, clothes or cold hard cash to assist local organizations in their relief efforts in the Dominican and neighbouring countries hit hard, like Puerto Rico, Dominica, Barbuda, etc. where locals are still without power or are homeless from flooding.
Since the clean drinking water is in short supply the Production Office of The Detour will be raising money to buy water treatment Life Straws http://lifestraw.com/products/lifestraw/. Our goal is to raise $10,000 to buy 500 Life Straws for our friends in the Caribbean.
