After surviving ovarian cancer in 2000 I never thought about potential impacts of hormone therapy. You always read the side effects of medicine and I don’t recall reading about hormone therap and breast cancer but no worry that is only part of the story. My identical twin life story continues a similar path as did a number of female ancestors who had breast or ovarian cancer. Move the hands forward...June 2011 driving to surgeon office for biopsy results which I already knew the words that echoed for days..YES it is cancer. I had already decided how I would react..remain calm and make sure decisions about my future were done “my way”. Surgery, chemo, radiation were all first steps. These were followed by my twins diagnosi. Stayed with her after her double mastectomy which was preceded by my discovery of another lump. I knew already that my next health decision would follow the same path. My own double mastectomy followed by months of reconstructive surgery. I am truly blessed by family and friends who helped me through my recovery doing it my way. Today I continue to celebrate cancer free still doing it my way.
Now I ask you .. Will you make a donation to help researich a cure for this horrible disease?
