The “I Have a Dream” Foundation – Los Angeles provides long-term support to children and youth living in under-resourced communities to achieve their full potential, by promoting from an early age, values of higher education and career success, with opportunity guaranteed through financial resources, and other services.
IHADLA selects entire classes of first graders at schools in underserved communities, regardless of each student’s academic level or ability.
We make a long-term commitment to provide free year-round after-school and summer programs, services, and individualized case management through high school graduation and into college.
IHADLA provides a comprehensive program that prepares students for higher education through academic support, social-emotional development, college and career prep, campus visits, tutoring, cultural enrichment, and one-on-one mentoring.
We also support our students financially by providing every Dreamer Scholar pursuing post-secondary education with up to $8,000 in scholarships.
