It's been 6 years since my diagnosis of Stage II-A Testicular Cancer. Due to continuing research in the field of cancer treatment, I was lucky enough to beat it. Not everyone is that lucky however. According to the American Cancer Society, there will be an estimated 1,685,210 new cancer diagnosis in 2016. 595,000 of those will result in death. Lets continue to raise awareness and money towards making breakthroughs in cancer research, so many more people can be as lucky as I am today.
The past three years I have become passionate about proving there is life after cancer. I have done this by challenging myself in undertaking the world of triathlon. With multiple races under my belt, I am going to be racing multiple Half Ironman distance races in 2017 with the Stand Up to Cancer team in addition to Team Inspiration. Come join in me in this incredible journey of life after cancer, so that others can see how rewarding it can truly be.
