We (Jason and Eric) are embarking upon a tandem bicycle trip across the North American continent in the hopes that we may find, experience, and connect with what bonds us all together as human beings. This rolling musical love machine seeks to catalyze the public sphere through the powers of music, motion, and storytelling. We feel a fervent conviction in the power which music holds, and its ability to foster raw and intimate moments with human beings. This project serves as a grassroots initiative intended to break barriers which prevent and deter us from fostering genuine connections with peoples of all walks of life. We hope that this project may stand as an example of the potential which exists within us: to pursue genuine connections with every and all humans through whatever vehicle they see fit. For us specifically, making music is that vehicle. We will be traveling with our instruments, as well as all of the recording equipment necessary to produce musical compositions.
We intend to live predominantly with people and communities experiencing homelessness or poverty, searching for people who enjoy playing music. We are especially stoked to seek out individuals or collectives who possess unrecorded, original, music, or those who would like to write and record original music with us. We hope to record and produce independent artists who do not possess the financial means to produce their own music, and release songs on our website (intandemwithchange.org). In addition, we will be producing a film piece, documenting our experiences over the course of the summer. We believe that everyone deserves an opportunity to speak their passions and convictions to someone who is truly listening, and we hope that the medium of film and recorded sound will provide people who have been robbed of their voice an opportunity to express themselves to a wider audience. On a less serious note, we also believe that the level of shenanigans we are bound to experience over the course of a full summer riding 3,680 miles on a tandem bicycle will be worth watching. Thank you so much for your support. We all stand in tandem with change. Peace.

**We have created an expense list containing calculations of necessary expenditures in order to remain transparent in our mission. At the conclusion of the trip, we will be donating all of the donation-funded gear to a non-profit based in San Francisco (where we will end the trip) to be sold and distributed to social aid programs.
