Injury Prevention Resources began in 1994 as a traffic safety records collection agency. Injury Prevention Resources has been serving Wyoming for over two decades. In the year 2000, we were recognized as a 501(C)3 non-profit agency. We have been able to adapt to and recognize roadway safety needs that exist within Fremont County, Wyoming. In 2013, we at Injury Prevention Resources expanded our operations in order to help save lives in Big Horn, Hot Springs, Park and Washakie Counties. We continue to serve these areas with a specific goal in mind: Zero Deaths, Zero Injuries.
Injury Prevention Resources (IPR) is a unique agency that is able to work on prevention, intervention and post-vention, relevant to roadway safety subjects. Through our programs, we are able to depict the relevance of roadway safety dangers to the youngest and eldest members of our communities. Services range from car seat and seat belt education for toddlers to driving information for senior citizens. IPR is able to reach all ages in order to place proper emphasis on the importance of roadway safety. Our agency has 5 main issues we work toward: Increasing seat belt use and drivers awareness of pedestrians, decreasing impaired driving, decreasing distracted driving and promoting the use of child car seats. IPR conducts a multitude of various programs from Safety Rodeo events for ages 6 to 9 to DUI Supervised Probation and SCRAMx alcohol monitoring bracelets. IPR's strategies are executed in order to educate about best practices for roadway safety and to hold the community members accountable for actions that risk serious injury and endanger lives.
