For the past 9 years, Chris Smithhisler has shaped not only Tri Sigma programming, but also countless Tri Sigma members. As Chris leaves staff for new adventures, she leaves behind a legacy. A legacy of Character. A legacy of leadership and values. A legacy of how to be a better woman and how to give to others.
If you were like me when you heard this announcement (after you picked your jaw up off the floor), you thought of the many moments listening to Chris, learning from Chris, and being inspired by Chris. Then perhaps you thought - what can I do?
We want to honor Chris, the impact she has had and will continue to have, and thank her in a way that allows this legacy to be continued. The programming Chris provided were in part funded by the Foundation. It seems fitting to show our appreciatation to Chris by contributing to the Tri Sigma Foundation so this programming can continue.
The funds contributed here will go directly to the Tri Sigma Foundation as an unrestricted donation meaning it would not go to RPM or March of Dimes. Instead these funds are available for leadrship and educational programming grants to support programs like the ones Chris created and brought to Tri Sigma - Labyrinth, President's Academy, and Dunham Women of Character.
All donations are tax deductible. The goal is $9000 in honor of Chris's 9 years on staff. As you make your donation, you are invited to share a story about the impact Chris has had on you or a note of well wishes. The names and comments will be shared with Chris after the campaign closes on December 4.
