UPDATE: 6/5/11 - We have successfully delivered a large shipment of supplies to northern Japan. Check out the video from Bryan Loberg in Japan as he prepares to drive 10 hours north overnite with a convoy of supply trucks to help those in need. There is not internet up there so our updates of the actual distribution will follow in the next few days.
A huge thank you to everyone who helped with this latest shipment. There is so much more needed there and we hope we can go again in 30 - 45 days. So please, please continue to help us. Watch our videos and check out our website at www.wandaa.org to see that all this money being dontated is going to those that need it. You will never have to question where your donation went with WANDAA.
Please help us in our other efforts as well. We know how hard it is in this difficult economy to donate your hard earned money that is needed by you and your family. But if you see it in your heart to give to someone who is in desperate need, even just $10 will help. And rest assured that your money is going to get to those in need with WANDAA.
to all those that have donated to this point...THANK YOU!!! Please check out the pictures and videos to see what you have helped accomplish and the people that you have helped!! There are so many people to thank that it is difficult for me to thank them here. You know who you are.
Our efforts continue...and those continued efforts need continued support. Please consider another donation to this cause so we can go to Japan with supplies again. Tell your friends...tell your corporate friends that you know. We need support in order to continue our efforts abroad and here in the US. Please look for our other Crowdrise projects raising money for the Tornado victims here in the US.
THANK YOU TO EVERYONE WHO DONATED AND JOINED OUR PROJECT!!!
We are hoping to send several care package shipments to the victims of the Japan earthquakes and tsunami. we will coordinate flight information for sending the relief packages and gather the information of what is truely needed over the next day or so. We hope you can help
Update:Saturday 3/12 - We are having great correspondence with several news stations in Japan from the affected areas. They are giving us great feedback on what will be needed asap and are willing to be our contacts for sending direct aid to the victims. All we need now is additional money to fund the first relief shipment which will most likely be water and clothing. Thanks to everyone who has helped so far...we still need more help though. please spread the word.
..."Preliminary estimates put repair costs from the earthquake and tsunami in the tens of billions of dollars — a huge blow for an economy that lost its place as the world's No. 2 to China last year, and was already in a fragile state.
Tens of billions of dollars are expected to be needed to rebuild homes, roads and other infrastructure — requiring public spending that will add to the national debt."...The Associated Press
Update 3/14 - our first shipment of clothing and water were packed yesterday and are being picked up today. Thanks to all of our supporters for helping us get this done so quickly. We will not stop our efforts. We are now working towards a second shipment of heavy clothing as there is a heavy snow storm and freezing temperatures headed to Japan today or tomorrow. Help us afford a second shipment of heavy clothing into the devastated areas and help keep the homeless warm during these tremendously difficult times.
Update 3/14 - We have a meeting in the morning with the manufacturers of mobile energy systems and solar cookers. We are hoping to strike a deal with these people to purchase and send several to the damaged areas of Japan. We need more funds to put this together. Please look at the photo that we have uploaded about this company's items. What a service it could provide if we can pull it off. Wish us luck and keep donating so maybe we can send some of these units over.
3/16 Update - Meeting with Green World Systems went great. They have several different sized water purifiers that we spoke of. They are willing to discount the units down to their cost for us to purchase. We will be assessing which direction to go...work towards one or two large volume purifiers... or 5 to 6 of the smaller ones. Even the small ones will produce plenty of drinkable water for many people. Either way...we need a couple thousand more dollars than where we are. So in order to send the purifiers and continue to send clothing (and get everything shipped over there) we need more financial help. Please help us reach these goals and help the people of Japan?!?!?!
