When a young person drops out of high school they choose a very difficult path in life - a path that will cost them and society for the restof their lives. High school graduates earn $400,000 more over the course of their lifetimes than do dropouts. High school graduates are less likely to parent early, abuse drugs, and encounter the criminal justice system. A high school dropout is a tragety.
Jobs for West Virginia's Graduates supports at-risk students in the eleven high schools we serve to persist in their education, graduate from high school, and make a successful transition to the workforce and/or post-secondary education.
Our support comes from corporate and private foundations, local Boards of Education, state and federal government funds, and donors like you. With your help we can continue to change the future of West Virginia one mortarboard at a time!
