As I thought about this challenge I began to think about all those close to me that have been impacted by cancer; my dad, my uncle, my friend and her family, and so many others. With all of these people in mind I began to think, if all of these people can be brave when battling cancer surely I can find the motivation to run an 18 mile training run on my own. I began to think of the challenge that cancer leaves so many families with. As I train and fundraise for the 2018 Boston Marathon as part of Team JAF each of my training runs will be dedicated to this impacted by cancer. I hope to honor their courage and bravery. As I run I will carry the memory of my dad with me and I know that he will give me the strength to keep running when I need it. I am honored to have the opportunity to run for a foundation that brings hope to families dealing with cancer. Please consider donating and sharing my page.
The Joe Andruzzi Foundation is committed to providing help, hope, and a reason to smile for cancer patients and their families by contributing financial and emotional support when it is needed most.
