This coming April, I will be traveling to Boston from Fort Collins, Colorado to run my first Boston Marathon, with the honor of crossing that finish line as a member of Team JAF!
The Joe Andruzzi Foundation was founded in 2008 by former New England Patriots offensive guard Joe Andruzzi and his wife Jen following Joe's successful bout with cancer. Following that time in their life, the Andruzzis were committed to helping future cancer patients in any manner that they could.
The Joe Andruzzi Foundation is committed to providing help, hope, and a reason to smile for cancer patients and their families by contributing financial and emotional support when it is needed most. They provide financial assistance to cancer patients and their families, helping them focus on recovery, not bills.
Unfortunately, cancer has touched most, if not all, of our lives; some also harder than others. I'm running the 2018 Boston Marathon in memory of my aunt who passed away after a nine-year bout with cancer on August 25th of this year.
I am beyond blessed and humbled that I was selected to be a member of this team representing such a terrific foundation and wonderful cause. Over the next couple of months, I will train harder and more diligently than I've ever trained for a race before. Thanks to the United States Air Force, I am currently stationed out at Francis E. Warren Air Force Base in Cheyenne, WY and will make the most of the altitude out here in the Rocky Mountain range while training to be prepared for April 16th!
With all the love and support I know is out there, I will exceed my goal of raising $8,500.00 for the Joe Andruzzi Foundation! To accomplish this, I need your help! Please consider making a tax-deductible donation to the Joe Andruzzi Foundation. In addition to running in memory of my aunt, it would also be an honor for me to run on behalf of or in memory of someone in your life! I appreciate your support from the bottom of my heart and wish you & yours nothing, but the best.
