On April 16, 2018 I will be running in the 122nd Boston Marathon in support of St. Michael's Hospital Brain Tumour Research Foundation. My run will be dedicated to Emily McIntosh - a friend and family member who was diagnosed with a brain tumour this past February at the age of 27. Since that time she has bravely faced brain surgery, 6 weeks of radiation and ongoing chemotherapy. One of the biggest challenges for Emily was deciding on a course of treatment since the disease is so complex and unpredictable. More research is needed so by Joggin' for the Noggin, my goal is to raise at least $5000 which will be donated directly toward the St. Michael's Hospital Brain Tumour Research Foundation. St. Michael's Hospital is where Emily's surgery took place, and is home to some of the leading experts on brain tumours in Canada.
