I am passionate about helping to beat breast cancer, and this year I am participating in the Pink Tie Guy fundraiser for the third year in a row. Please help me do this by making a pledge today.
Breast cancer has touched the lives of those dear too me way too many times over the years. When a good friend and colleague found out she had it a few years ago, she sat me down and laid it out for me. In her inimitable, up-beat and witty way, she said, "Dave, you know, pretty much everything about cancer sucks!" Well put. Sadly, I already understood this because this was not the first time a dear friend has faced breast cancer. A few years back my BFF, Gretchen, fought the same long battle, and I am sure that even today as she looks back at the experience in the rearview mirror, she would agree with that assessment. And just a few weeks ago, my wonderful sister-in-law, Annie, received a new diagnosis. Annie's courage in facing this is inspirational, so I am dedicating my efforts to raise funds this year to her. As just a small way to show our love and support, I want to earn my Pink Tie for Annie!
To recap: the Susan G. Komen Massachusetts® Pink Tie Guys is an exclusive group of local men who are committed to the fight against breast cancer in Massachusetts. I have upped the ante this year and pledged to raise $2000 for this worthy cause. I hope you can help by being as generous as you can.
