A House Divided
On September 9th, 2018 the Chicago Bears traveled to Lambeau Field to take on the Green Bay Packers for the opening of the NFL season. Of course I was very confident in the Bears to pull out a victory so I made a bet with my fiancée, Andrea. The bet stated that the loser will have to take part in the Polar Plunge in Lake Michigan. Well, the Bears ended up losing 24 to 23 and now that the football season is over it is time pay up.
On March 3rd, I will be taking part in the 19th Annual Chicago Polar Plunge wearing nothing but Green Bay clothing. This event will benefit Special Olympic Chicago athletes. Below is a statement from event organizers:
Be #FREEZINFORAREASON and support the 7,500+ special olympians who compete year-round in the city of Chicago. All funds raised will benefit the Special Olympics Chicago athletes, covering program costs such as transportation, sports equipment, team uniforms and food. Through your participation, people with intellectual disabilities have the opportunity to discover new strengths, abilities and success.
With that being said, I would like to invite you to contribute to my fundraising campaign. As mentioned above, all proceeds will be going to Special Olympics Chicago. My Goal is to raise $400 for this cause.
Thank you and Go Bears
