On Saturday, October 14 and Sunday, October 15, 2017, Brooks Kushman will have a team of runners and walkers participating in events on behalf of Team Autism at the Detroit Marathon, raising funds for Judson Center and their Autism Connections program.
Autism is a complex neurological disorder that impairs a person's abilities in the areas of social interaction and verbal and non-verbal communication. Autism spectrum disorders affect approximately 1 in 68 children, and there is no known cause or cure. With ever-increasing numbers of children being diagnosed with autism, there are many families in need of resources for early intervention, treatment, education, and other support services.
This is why we are running, and we are hoping you'll help our Brooks Kushman team in supporting Judson Center with their efforts in these areas. Judson Center runs an incredible Autism Connections program which provides a wide range of educational, therapeutic, and support services designed to assist individuals with autism and their families throughout southeast Michigan.
Many thanks for your support!
