Our mission is aimed to employ preventive and sustainable solutions to protect one of the most biodiverse and untouched parts of the amazon: The Las Piedras river. This pristine river flows through the heart of the Peruvian Madre de Dios, the sacred headwaters of the amazon rainforest. The rapid rate of deforestation due to roads and agriculture is threatening the amazing diversity of life along this river.
THE 30 DAY CHALLENGE
We believe in breathing clean air. We believe in the interconnection of life. We believe in the power of yoga. Modo Yoga studios across the world are helping to fundraise for Junglekeepers alongside their 30 day challenge for the month of April. Together, let’s continue to protect this pristine river basin, that is being threatened by illegal logging, farming rand poaching.
Through the help of the Modo yoga community, we are actively protecting over 2000 hectares (close to 5000 acres) of beautiful rainforest along the Las Piedras river. We have also implemented a ranger program to help the land in collaboration with other non-profit organizations and the local community.
This year our goal to help Junglekeepers protect moe land and grow the ranger program. Please join us and let’s create an amazing and transformational impact!
April 1-30th 2019
