My figure skating club is hosting a sk8 to elimin8 cancer fundraiser on July 27th at the Kingsgate ice arena. All proceeds will go to fund cancer research. We are kicking off our fundraising efforts with a frozen 5K at the ice arena on March 10th. I will be skating at least 40 laps around the rink. Later, July 27th we will be hoisting a fundraising show. Please support my efforts to raise money for this great cause.
I am excited to help raise money for cancer research. One of my grandparents was recently in the hospital to be treated for throat cancer, and both of my other grandparents have been battling skin cancer. Everyone has been affected by cancer in some way, so please donate to help find a cure for cancer.
Kingsgate Skating Club and Sno-King Ice Arena Kirkland are excited to be joining the Scott Hamilton CARES Foundation in Sk8 to Elimin8 Cancer and the fight against cancer. Over many years we have had skaters and their family members touched by cancer including coach and Host Ambassador of Sk8 to Elimin8 Cancer Maria Murphy.
Coming together as a community to raise awareness and funds for research is a goal our club hopes to meet during this process.
A portion of the proceeds raised will benefit Ben Towne Center for Childhood Cancer Research our local Charity of Choice.
