John F. Kennedy (JFK) High School Robotics Team is heading to Worlds in Houston, TX. Your donation can help make our students dreams come true: to represent the amazing diversity and talent that is our school on an international level!
JFK is a vibrant public high school located in Sacramento, CA. We operate on the fundamental assumption that all students are capable of experiencing success and achieving excellence through learning and provide a climate that continuously affirms the worth and dignity of all our students, while setting high standards for learning and behavior. With over 14,000 hours of student time invested in designing, building, wiring and programing this seasons winning robot, our afterschool Robotics team represents the best of who we are and continually set the bar for student excellence.
But now comes the hard part. To get our team of students, staff and robot to Houston for competition in one week’s time, we need to raise over $15,000. These funds will be used to help offset travel costs as well as much needed parts for our robot to compete on par with teams from all over the world.
This is where you, as part of a larger community, can help. Your tax-deductible donation can ensure that all our students can participate in this once-in-a-lifetime opportunity! Every dollar counts and we appreciate you helping us make our team's dream of representing California with honor at the 2018 First Robotics World Competition a reality. Together anything is possible!
We will continue to keep you apprised of our campaign but in the meantime, you can learn more about the team and its history here as well as First Robotics mission to inspire young people to be science and technology leaders and innovators here.
