Students from all 92 counties across Indiana – future deputies, troopers and police officers … at-risk kids … and young witnesses and victims of crime – will discover the Indiana Sheriffs’ Youth Ranch offers life lessons about Respect, Animals, Nature, Character and Health.

A not for profit organization, the Indiana Sheriffs’ Youth Ranch will be a 62-acre educational and training retreat offering field trips, overnights and weeklong leadership camps to Indiana teens.

Scheduled to open in the summer of 2018, the Youth Ranch will feature swimming, fishing, canoeing, kayaking, archery, softball, baseball, basketball, hiking, a confidence course, zip line, arts and crafts. Students will also learn about vital age-appropriate topics like CPR and first aid, substance abuse, personal safety, bullying, cybercrimes, gangs and firearms safety. Whenever possible, young Ranch visitors will observe K-9, Horse Patrol, SWAT and Water Rescue training of deputies. Center, recreation facilities, computer lab, an outdoor nature classroom, and sheriffs’ and deputies’ memorial will all be completed as tax-deductible contributions can be raised from supportive individuals, families, small businesses, corporations, social and labor organizations.
