The KSO's nationally recognized Music & Wellness Program uplifts the spirit of the patients who experience live music in hospital rooms, lobbies, chemo bays, and has been shown to directly aid in recovery and healing. The Knoxville Symphony Orchestra (KSO) plays more than 300 performances each year, 84% of which are OUTSIDE the concert hall. Rather these performances occur in classrooms, churches, schools, parks and hospitals. The KSO's Music and Wellness Program provides live therapeutic music to patients and their families in healthcare settings. We rely on community support, grant funding and individual donations to keep the music playing.
