Hello! My sister Alexa and I are running a 5K in beautiful Prospect Park on April 21 in support of CAMBA, a local non-profit that provides important services to Brooklyn families. Your donation will make a difference in someone's life, whether supporting new moms, kids working hard to excel at school, or recent immigrants seeking jobs training (among many other services). Thank you!
More on CAMBA and how your donation will help:
CAMBA provides services that connect people with opportunities to enhance their quality of life, reaching more than 45,000 individuals and families each year, including 10,000 youth. We serve a diverse cross section of New Yorkers from new mothers in Brownsville to job seekers in the Rockaways. More than half of our clients are immigrants and refugees from around the globe. Over 85% of our families are in living in poverty, reflecting the challenges faced by nearly 1.7 million New Yorkers today.
Your support makes it possible for CAMBA to keep families facing homelessness from being evicted, and brings literacy classes and job training programs for immigrants and low-income adults. Your support also helps young people stay engaged and excel academically and, later, go on to enroll in college. Together, we can make a stronger Brooklyn.
