The Lee County Humane Society is the regional shelter for the Auburn-Opelika area in eastern Alabama. We are an open admissions shelter, so we are consistantly working with a steady stream of stray animals and owner surrenders year round. We are committed to finding the best homes for our resident pets, and it's our mission to connect fantastic pets with their forever homes! But, we can't do it without your help. Every donation goes toward the feeding, medical expenses, and day-to-day care of our up to 113 in shelter pets and our hundreds of pets in foster. Our mission is to advance humane treatment and responsible ownership of companion animals through community education, animal sheltering and adoption, and alleviation of animal suffering. Our vision is to be the leading advocate for companion animals in our community. We envision a future in which animals are valued, pet overpopulation is eliminated, and every adoptable companion animal has a loving and responsible home.
