Fighting cancer is a team effort. C2C4C is an additional way to drive awareness of the need to increase cancer research funding so that more patients have better options to fight cancer in the future.
Aunt Brenda died of melanoma. Gina fought breast cancer. Lori still fights ovarian cancer. Jarem fights daily against head and neck cancer. All of our family and friends who fight cancer inspire me to do more to help. These people face the reality that they are not in control of their future but are willing to keep pushing for life and time with their families. They mean the world to me.
Cancer patients are tough, courageous, and not without fear but willing to press forward despite the fear. I know that my small pains in training and on the ride will help others look forward with hope towards a brighter tomorrow because of what we are doing today. I hope the awareness generated by this ride will drive those generous and wonderful people who truly care for others to make their own contribution through donations to help cancer patients.
My message to cancer
Control yourself, in the end you will lose because WE WON’T STOP fighting you!
