I used to live in Houston and have a number of friends still there dealing with the devastation of Hurricane Harvey. Savannah (6) and Henry (4) can't quite comprehend how "all those kids lost all their toys and balls and clothes and stuff." So they want to help.
Our family is going to donate to the American Red Cross Hurricane Harvey fund a minimum of $5 for every goal Savannah and Henry score in their fall soccer games. They had their first game last week and Henry netted 7 goals (yes, a touchdown of goals!) and Savannah 1, so we're already at 8! Not sure if the offensive barrage will continue every week, but they have 8 more games to add to their total.
The Fulton family kindly asks for your support in either a.) pledging a dollar amount per goal scored...even $1 helps, or b.) make a flat donation in support of Savannah and Henry's efforts to help the folks in Houston.
I will be posting on Facebook the tally of goals scored after each game to keep everyone updated. Once the season ends in early November we can all make our donations on our Crowdrise fundraiser page.
If you would like to make a donation today, feel free to donate now via our Crowdrise page.
Thank you for your support.
