"Imagine having thoughts running through your head. Thoughts that could turn into irreversible decisions. If I wasn’t here, would it be easier? I wouldn’t feel the pain. I wouldn’t feel lost. I wouldn’t question everything. I wouldn’t overthink things. Maybe it’s just better if I’m gone?
Life is hard. It’s not supposed to be easy. Everyone knows that. But it’s also not supposed to be like this – a terrifying downward spiral that seems as if there is no light at the end of the tunnel. I never thought that would be me. I never thought that my life would go down this path." - Liam Cavanagh
Never Give Up Radio is a weekly podcast focused on kicking the stigma that currently surrounds mental health. Through sharing stories of hope and resilience, and from hosting athletes, doctors, veterans and a wide array of other guests who provide years of experience and personal insight into the mental health field, it is our hope that we can supply people with the education and tools necessary in order to find the light at the end of the tunnel. Our goal is to make this topic easier to talk about with family and friends. To normalize this discussion does not lessen the gravity of its importance, rather it makes people more aware and more willing to reach out, help, and most importantly, to understand each other.
Never Give Up Radio and The Goalie Guild are partnering to erase the stigmas associated with hockey and goaltending through the NGU Radio awareness panel and NCAA college hockey game.
