My Auntie Linda was no ordinary human being, she was a woman whose life should be a message for all. She is often described as being the nicest, the sweetest, or the kindest and those words still don't do her justice. She was and is the strongest person I will ever know; in her 55 years of life, she battled rheumatoid arthritis, breast cancer stage 3, and Metastitic breast cancer. She never complained one time. By being a little bit more like Auntie Linda, you will make a difference in someones life, a community, or even a dog. She loved animals. A true saint on earth and an angel in heaven.
In her honor, my family and I are walking 6.2 miles who lost her battle with breast cancer and we are almost at $1,000 towards our walk. All the money donated goes to advanced technology for prostate cancer surgery at North Shore (Mass Gen) Medical Center (where she was treated), oncology services and all funds raised will be matched by a private donor (up to $1 million dollars). In the past, this walk has supported equipment purchases, clinical trials, wellness services to help pain and nausea, and supportive care programs. We chose this walk in particular for the care that my Aunt received while she was in the hospital. They really were outstanding and made a difference in her last few weeks she spent on earth.
