If you really fulfill the royal law according to the Scripture, “You shall love your neighbor as yourself,” you are doing well.” James 2:8
As 2019 revs up, be a good neighbor. It’s that simple. The Oak Pointe Church community provides a neighborly opportunity for you through Run for Hope. A dedicated core group of your neighbors want to help you experience community through fitness. Run for Hope connects runners, triathletes, bikers and adventure racers to a group of athletes that are consistently training on a weekly basis. All you need to do is show up during a specified training day. Come check us out.
But wait…there’s more! It is the gift of altruism. Run for Hope athletes have lofty goals: enhance community; help neighbors increase their physical fitness; oh yeah, and raise $25,000 for our neighbors in Zambia, Africa. That’s our 2019 goal, $25,000. All of our fundraising efforts benefit Living Hope International. Our athletes are already ramping up training for events like Milford’s Easter Dash, the Tough Mudder of Michigan, the Michigan Titanium Triathlon and the Detroit Free Press Half/Full Marathon. Experience community! Improve your fitness! Raise money for a noble cause! And if the theme of this opportunity isn’t crystal clear…be a good neighbor.
