Main Stay's mission is to encourage, enrich and empower individuals through horses, animals and nature in an uplifting and nurturing setting. Main Stay is a place where bodies are challenged, minds embrace possibilities, and spirits are renewed. For more than 30 years, Main Stay has provided equine-related therapeutic activities to people with physical, developmental, social and emotional challenges. Today Main Stay enriches the lives of individuals in so many different ways. Our therapeutic horsemanship and riding program offers riders the opportunity to strengthen minds and bodies, while our animal assisted learning and adaptive gardening programs help teach important life skills. Main Stay, with the help of more than 100 weekly volunteers, sees as many as 150 clients a week ranging in age from 3 to 93 and partners with numerous agencies in McHenry County to provide services to their clients. Your support will help us keep our program fees reasonable so that we can provide our services to those who otherwise may not be able to afford them. Thank you!
