We are a small school located in the Port Richmond section of Philadelphia. Our students come from predominantly low income households, which often means the only fruits and/or vegetables they consume are from the free breakfast and lunch program provided by our school. Two years ago, our school was able to provide a 15x100 area for our students to grow vegetables and herbs, as well as watermelons, blueberries, and strawberries. The garden was a hit with the students and they enjoyed the harvest well into October. This year, we have no funding for the garden. We are grateful for any help. We need gardening supplies, seeds, and money for repairs in the garden. Thank you for all and any support.
