We run for Matt Genovese who passed away in January of 2016. Matt had a deep and abiding faith in God and in his country. This faith inspired Matt to be a supporter of many charities that helped veterans. The Stephen Siller Tunnel to Towers Foundation (T2T) embodies so many of the virtues that Matt felt passionately about, such as building homes for wounded veterans. In the two years since our family and friends started running and fundraising in Matt’s memory we have raised over $41,000. This year we continue to keep Matt’s memory alive by again raising money and following the courageous footsteps of firefighter and hero Stephen Siller.
Matt's friends and family will also be hosting their 2nd annual BBQ fundraiser this September 8th at 3pm at the Redwood Club located at 2680 Schurz Ave, Bronx, NY 10465. For a donation of $25 guests will be able to partake in a BBQ with one ticket for a complimentary beer or wine. Kids 12 and younger are free. In addition to accepting donations there will be an array of raffled gift baskets, prizes, 50/50 raffle, music and entertainment. All proceeds will go to Matt's T2T team. You can email firstname.lastname@example.org with any questions or for further information.
Please continue to keep Matthew and Stephen in your thoughts and prayers. They will be in our hearts until the day God unites us forever.

About the Stephen Siller Tunnel to Towers Foundation
The Siller Family started the Stephen Siller Tunnel to Towers Foundation to honor the memory of their brother, Stephen, a New York City firefighter (FDNY) who lost his life on September 11, 2001 after strapping on his gear and running through the Brooklyn Battery Tunnel to the Twin Towers.
The goal of the Stephen Siller Tunnel to Towers Foundation is to continue Stephen’s legacy by supporting our nation’s first responders and service members. The Smart Home Program, constructs specially adapted, technology-enabled homes for our most catastrophically injured service members. By the end of 2018, we will have constructed 66 of these fully-serviceable homes. From tragedy to hope, the Stephen Siller Tunnel to Towers Foundation is there for families of first responders that suffer insurmountable loss. For the children of fallen NYPD Detective Miosotis Familia, their brand new mortgage-free home, funded by the Foundation and its partners, is a symbol of their mother's sacrifice. In December, Toys 4 Texas Toy Drive brought families hit by Hurricane Harvey a little happiness just in time for the holidays. With the help of 36 FDNY members, we distributed thousands of toys to children whose lives were devastated by the storm.
Your hard work on behalf of the Foundation enables us to continue to provide the help the families of our veterans and first responders so desperately need.
