Dear Friends: I am honored to volunteer for St. Joseph Community Services, the meals on wheels provider for Hillsborough County. On average, SJCS serves over 1400 meals each day to our neighbors in need. Dedicated drivers scatter throughout the county to conduct daily safety checks that preserve independence allowing our neighbors to stay in their homes. Nineteen percent of program participants see only their meals on wheels driver in a given week, so SJCS is crucial to battling isolation and hunger. To keep this vital program, I am working to raise funds in connection with the annual walkathon, to be held on May 19th. Any contribution would be greatly appreciated.
