How to give active seniors something to do. You form a non-profit company, find some singers, practice hard and go on tour sharing music with less fortunate elderly folks that need to know somebody still loves em and cares about them. The meet and greet visit time is as important as the actual singing program. The melodies did 50 shows last year,13 in December alone. I want to bring in violin, horn, piano and guitar players to form a band section to give more seniors a chance to perform. I want to bridge the generation gap by incorporating talented high school kids that have graduation projects or community service requirements to be a part of the show.We do a spring, summer, fall, and winter program.over 20 songs formed around the age of the audience and the time of the year keeps us busy with only January as a time off month. I am the director.I am 61 years old and permanently disabled.Nobody gets paid except our piano players. I have a big vision for this and 18 singers give me everything they got..It keeps me wanting to survive eveyday with hope and joy.
