Growing Strong by Nature
Merrohawke Nature School, founded in 2007, provides transformational outdoor education that cultivates empathy, creativity and character through deep connection to land and sea.
We envision a world where all youth grow strong by Nature into adults who, through the full expression of their innate gifts, serve as stewards of the earth in their community.
Through programs on land and sea, annually more than 1,800 youth from eastern Massachusetts and the NH Seacoast connect to nature at Merrohawke. Programs take place at sea aboard passenger vessels along coastal waters of Maine, New Hampshire and Massachusetts, and ashore upon private and conservation lands within a 50-mile radius of Newburyport, Mass.
We are raising funds to support our nature connection programs:
- Forest Kindergarten: entirely outdoors, September through May
- Afterschool and Homeschool programs
- Parent-Child classes
- Summer Programs for Ages 4 to Teens
- Floating Lab and Field Studies for schools and groups
Campaign funds will be used to support the advancement of Merrohawke’s mission for all youth to grow strong by Nature.
Every dollar counts. We ask for your support! Thank you!
