The whole community plays an essential role in the growth and development of its young people. The relationships children build with others are the building blocks to the relationship they build with themselves. It should be filled with understanding, love, and trust.
I am honored to have been selected to run the Boston Marathon 2019 for the MetroWest YMCA. My goal is to raise $7,500 that will be used to help youth development and healthy living programs reach new members. For over 50 years the MetroWest YMCA has offered enrichment classes, vacation week activities, leadership & teen programs, wellness prevention, childcare and so much more. More recently the Y has expanded their efforts towards their Anti-Hunger program which feeds about 450 children ages 2-13. There are very few who have not been impacted by their local Y in some way.
As a registered nurse, and a nurse leader of a cardiac and surgical/oncology unit at MetroWest Medical Center, I see the importance of early intervention and education every day. With your support, I am confident that we can build stronger communities and healthier generations to come. Please consider donating to my marathon campaign, any amount is greatly appreciated!
