Dear Family and Friends,
I am excited to be running my 14th consecutive Boston Marathon in honor of my son Kris and Sharon Young, the principal of The Alcott School in Concord, MA where I teach. I am forever grateful for the efforts of MGH doctors and support staff that helped my son overcome a rare blood disorder over a decade ago. Kris is healthy and happy and now 31 years old. The funds raised will support Mass General Hospital for Children’s research team, child life specialists, alternative therapies and new innovative techniques to help children who have cancer and brain tumors. I am amazed at how hard they work, including some of them running on the MGH marathon team. Thank you so very much for those of you who have supported MGH in the past. I truly appreciate your kindness and generosity.
If you prefer, you can mail a check made payable to MGH Marathon Team with my name in the memo line and send it to my home at 87 Adams Road, Concord, MA 01742. Please let me know if you would like your check to be listed as an anonymous donation.
