Dear Friends, Families & Colleagues,
Some of you know me as Matt, Smitty, or maybe even Colonel Smith; however, I am also the extremely proud parent of Peyton Smith. In the spring I will be a member of the Mass General Marathon Team running in his honor. For those unaware, in June of 2018 Peyton was diagnosed with Ewing's Sarcoma while we were stationed overseas in Germany. Immediately upon diagnosis we moved back to the States so Peyton could receive care at Mass General's Pediatric Cancer/Sarcoma Center. Peyton has shown heroic courage throughout this process and I figured if he can take on this challenge then I can take one on, too.
Please consider donating to my campaign where 100% of the proceeds will go towards the fundraising goal of $1,075,000 for the Pediatric Hematology-Oncology Clinic at Mass General Hospital for Children. Should you find yourself in New England, I will be training in Montpelier, Vermont and at Norwich University where I am the Commander of the Air Force ROTC detachment.
We thank you very much for donating to this incredibly worthwhile cause!
