Hello and welcome to my fundraiser page!
It's Melyssa (Nadow) Price. I'm running for a CURE! It has been a life goal of mine to run in the Boston Marathon, to run for a good cause and to be able to give back to my community while training and competing. I am extremely honored to have been accepted to run with Mass General Hospital's Pediatric Hematology-Oncology Team. I will be running 26.2 miles to help raise $10,000, but I will not be able to do this without you! Every penny you donate will go directly to the children that need your help.
Since 1998, in partnership with John Hancock, the Mass General Marathon Team Fighting Kids’ Cancer, One Step at a Time has raised over $14 million to support the pediatric hematology-oncology program at MassGeneral Hospital for Children (MGHfC). Funds raised are directed to cancer care, research, and initiatives that enhance the quality of life for the hospital’s youngest cancer patients.
Working at MGH for Thoracic Surgery and treating patients with lung and esophageal cancers has made me acutely aware of how much we can all contribute to the cure, no matter how big or small. The MGH family has been my family helping me get through my own challenges these past 7 years. Their continued support and encouragement enabled me to realize my dreams and goals. Now I have the opportunity to give back to them and help their children achieve their goals and dreams.
"No matter how big or small you think your support is, every bit helps us get closer to reaching our goal of finding a cure for childhood cancer." -Unknown
