I've probably already bent your ear about this, but Pull for Pride is an annual event held each June to raise money for the Ali Forney Center, a wraparound service center that supports homeless youth in an LGBTQ-friendly environment. This year, I'm celebrating my 42nd birthday by participating for the first time!
I'm really proud to be participating this year with a kickass team of queer powerlifters and allies who are building strength together, and I'd love nothing more than for you to celebrate with me by giving to my fundraiser.
The challenge to each participating lifter is to raise a dollar for every pound they plan to lift. I added a 42 to the end for my 42nd birthday. If a few folks were to take my cue here and give $42, we'd be a good piece of the way toward meeting this goal. Anything you can give will be received with love and gratitude!
Join me in supporting the incredibly important work of the Ali Forney Center, and getting behind an event that is about strength for ALL.
P.S. No, the picture on my page is not me, but I'm pretty sure Blink Fitness was trolling me on this one. Wouldn't you agree?
