Our new lease commences January 1, 2018. So in honor of this news we'll be sprucing up our cozy Fulton Street home. A sort of renovation if you will. Acharya Lhakpa will be leading the charge! We'll be cleaning, painting and organizing. In the evening we'll celebrate our accomplishments with light refreshements. The Fulton Steet renovation and renewal dates will be announced soon. So stay tuned! In the meantime we need your immediate help to keep our center alive & kicking.
Financial support for the following:
*Refurbishing items such as paint, paintbrushes and cleaning materials.
*Our Rent. It's risen over 25% from our prior lease. This support will allow us to continue offering classes in Buddhist study, meditation and mindful activity, as well as hosting visiting teachers.
*Mind Without Borders prison program, which reaches over 80 prisoners nationwide.
*Supporting the NYC residence of our beloved Acharya Lhakpa! The donations will help pay for his rent, food, metro card and other items.
Please remember that over 50% of our budget is funded by your donations. The rest comes from membership dues and programs. So we need your help!
How you can participate:
Come down to Fulton Street and give us your manpower! You can stay all day or just for an hour. It doesn't matter. Once the dates are announced please RSVP our Executive Director John Gunther at Johngunthr@yahoo.com if you plan on attending.
Create your own fundraising team or join someone else's team. Or donate directly. Thank you so much for helping!
