I met Moose while volunteering at the shelter on Thanksgiving Day. He crawled right into the lap of my friend’s daughter Makenna, who was was promised a meeting with a nice dog in exchange for her helping out that day. This sweet boy had Heartworms, Hookworms, Lyme Disease, a cancer spot and multiple bits of metal in his body from being shot with a BB gun, but you’d never have known it. He was the sweetest, most affectionate pup you could ever meet. The awesome staff at the WCHS rescues dogs from shelters that put them down, often with little notice. They saved his life and thankfully brought him into mine. You will not find more dedicated, caring people than those involved with this shelter. Please help me as I help them to continue the great work they do every day.
