On June 15th, our daughter, Mya, is celebrating her birthday and we want to celebrate with you!
Instead of presents, we kindly ask that your gift to Mya be a donation on this page to GeneSpark, a charity whose mission is to advance drug treatment for reversible Intellectual Disability disorders. GeneSpark's current focus is on Kleefsta Syndrome, which Mya was diagnosed with shortly after her birth.
Through the assistance of their world-class Scientific Advisory Board, GeneSpark has identified three high-impact projects aimed at screening potential drug treatments for treating and reversing KS. With $1.2 million raised to date, GeneSpark has already begun funding the critical initial phases of these projects but there continues to remain a funding gap of $200,000 for these projects to be fully funded beyond their initial phases. If we’re able to close the funding gap, a treatment may truly be possible!
Thank you again for your love and support as we celebrate this exciting milestone together.
Love, Bryan, Valerie & Mya!
