For 20 years, the NFA's mission has been to develop and execute programs dedicated to improving the quality of life for people affected by fibromyalgia. We focus on patient support and education, awareness outreach, healthcare provider education, patient advocacy and the facilitation of scientific research. The NFA is the oldest, most reputable fibromyalgia nonprofit in the United States and we support over 250,000 members worldwide. Fibromyalgia is a common and complex chronic pain disorder that affects people (men, women and children) physically, mentally and socially. It is characterized by chronic widespread pain, multiple tender points, abnormal pain processing, sleep disturbances, fatigue and often psychological distress. It is one of the most common chronic pain conditions that affects an estimated 10 million people in the U.S. and an estimated 3-6% of the world population. We have been so focused on helping our community that we need to get up to date with the technological times and expand our website. Our goal is to invest our Giving Tuesday donations into how we share this life-saving information with the FM community. We will be able to continue to update our website with new articles about current research and topics of importance to the FM community, we will expand our audience by adding our first articles and information in Spanish, and we will continue to serve the FM community as we have for nearly 20 years. We need your help to change the lives of those with FM. We won't stop until no one lives with this pain. Won't you help us to help those in pain with the click of the donate button today?
