Hurricane Harvey made landfall over Texas on August 25th 2017. It was quickly labeled a Category 4 hurricane due to high winds (up to 150 mph) and 2-4 feet of rain. Harvey is causing widespread damage and flooding to communities across Texas and Louisiana. Hurricane Harvey affected many communities including Corpus Christi, Houston, Port Mansfield, Brownsville, Port O’Connor, Victoria, Galveston, Matagorda, Rockport, High Island, and Freeport.
100% of funds donated through this campaign will benefit disaster relief efforts and people impacted by Hurricane Harvey.

Team Rubicon unites the skills and experiences of military veterans with first responders to rapidly deploy emergency response teams in disaster situations. With over 48,000 volunteers across the country, Team Rubicon has responded to over 200 disasters across the United States and the world. More specifically, Team Rubicon volunteers have responded to 14 disasters in the state of Texas since 2010, including the flooding that plagued the Houston area in the spring of 2016.
Two Samaritan's Purse disaster relief units are now in Texas to help residents as they continue to struggle with rain, flooding, and destruction caused by Hurricane Harvey. Soon we will have a total of five of these tractor trailers in the state, setting up volunteer bases around Victoria, Rockport/Portland, Galveston/Santa Fe, and two in Houston.
Convoy of Hope was on the ground in Texas before Harvey ever hit. To date, their Disaster Services team has distributed over $1 million in emergency supplies.
